APRIL FOOLS? - 100 WORDS - FLASH FICTION CHALLENGE 2019

How about this? For April / May, try writing a Flash Fiction piece of 100 words. We’ll go longer after this. Too many of these micro-shorts can addle the writer but they are great discipline.
The aim is to delight, to chip out a sculpture from a lump of stone.
You can read some of our writers' stories or submit your story on the FLASH FICTION section of the COMPETITIONS page of www.worldwriterscollective.com
Tips:
Make the title sweat its short life.
Jump right in. Names may not be necessary.
The denouement should be in the middle. Leave the reader something to think about at the end.

A final word: writing micro-fiction is for some, like holidaying in a caravan. Refreshing, stimulating for a change. But not for the rest of your life.
